RTS05 Router Lift: Check the Fit, Then Dial In the Height
The O'SKOOL RTS05 lets you adjust router bit height from above the table. Its 3-1/2-inch motor carriage holds compatible router motors. Before ordering, check both your motor-body dimensions and your table opening against the 11-3/4 × 9-1/4 × 3/8-inch insert plate. A matching motor brand alone does not confirm table compatibility.

Level and Secure the Insert Plate
The CNC-machined aluminum plate is 3/8 inch thick and has 10 leveling set screws. Three locking cam wheels help take up play at the table opening. Follow the installation instructions for the correct adjustment sequence.
Oval mounting hole
The screws of oval mounting holes can be adjusted to suitable positions according to the locations of the router table style holes, then lock them in place.
Cam wheels
Use the cam wheels to adjust the fit at the table opening, following the setup instructions.
Leveling screws
Leveling screws can be used to adjust the top and bottom flatness of the router plate and router table.
Above-Table Height Adjustment
The RTS05 offers 3 inches of height travel. Use the hand crank to set the bit height from above the table. Disconnect power before bit changes or maintenance and follow the router and lift instructions.
Each full turn of the crank changes height by 0.05 inch. The zeroing index ring has 50 divisions, giving a nominal increment of 0.001 inch per division. This describes the adjustment scale, not a guarantee of finished-cut accuracy. After adjustment, secure the height setting with the locking device and verify the setup.
The plate centerlines help locate the bit center. The 2-inch scale provides a reference when positioning the fence. Check alignment before routing.
Use the crank for above-table height adjustments and follow the installation and operating instructions for your setup.
Rotate the micro-adjustment dial to raise or lower the carriage. One full crank turn changes height by 0.05 inch. Check the setting on a test piece before cutting project parts.
Use the plate centerlines and 2-inch scale as setup references. Verify the bit position and fence alignment before use.
Five Insert Rings for Different Bit Sizes
The five insert rings have openings of 3/8, 1, 1-1/4, 1-7/8 and 2-5/8 inches. The 1-1/4-inch ring supports compatible guide bushings. Choose an appropriate ring for the bit and setup, following the clearance requirements in the instructions.
Will the O'SKOOL Router Lift (RTS05) fit my router?
RTS05 is designed for compatible motors with a 3-1/2-inch diameter body. Confirm the exact motor model and mounting clearance.
Compare the table opening, supporting ledge, corner shape and mounting arrangement with the insert plate. For Bosch RA1181 or RA1171 tables, check RTS017, which has a different plate size.

Does RTS05 fit all 3-1/2-inch routers?

Does RTS05 fit Bosch RA1181 or RA1171 tables?
For those tables, check RTS017. RTS05 has an 11-3/4 × 9-1/4-inch plate; do not substitute it based only on motor compatibility.

How fine is the height adjustment?
