Q:What are the workbench requirements for installation?

Base footprint: 9-5/16" × 3-7/16"; installation space: 9-5/16" × 12-3/4". If the skirt protrudes over 2-3/4", use one board as the fixed jaw. Jaw stock must be at least 1" thick.

Q:Are the instructions beginner-friendly? Can I install this on my own?

Yes. Includes a full-size A3 drilling template for the Base, Fixed Jaw, and Moving Jaw. Follow the illustrated manual and alignment line. A helper is recommended during installation.

Q:Do I need to buy extra mounting hardware to install this vise?

No extra mounting hardware is required. Includes 4 lag bolts, 4 washers, 4 M6 × 20mm screws, and 4 M6 × 12mm Torx barrel nuts. Drill and 5/16" socket or wrench required.

Q:How does the quick-release mechanism work?

Turning the handle clockwise clamps the moving jaw. Turning it counterclockwise about ¾ of a turn disengages the split nut — the jaw then slides freely. To re-engage, slide the jaw to position and turn clockwise; about ½ turn locks it back in.

Q:How does the quick release work?

Simply turn the handle slightly counter-clockwise to disengage the half-nut mechanism, allowing you to slide the jaw freely in or out. Turn clockwise to engage the threads and tighten.

Q:Do I need to buy jaw face boards separately?

Yes. Wooden jaw faces are not included. Prepare two hardwood boards, such as beech, ash, or maple. The moving jaw uses M6 screws and barrel nuts; the fixed jaw uses lag bolts.
