Control your dust collector without leaving your workbench

Keep the remote within reach and press ON/OFF to start or stop your compatible dust collector. The PTA09 switch and remote set saves you the walk to the collector's switch each time you begin or finish a task.

Included: switch with 6-foot power cord, white-button remote, installed CR2032 battery and instructions. This is the second-generation gray-panel PTA09; first-generation red-button remotes are not compatible.

Wireless control for your workshop

RF wireless control lets you operate the collector from your work area. The listed range is up to 50 meters when unobstructed; signals can pass through walls, but workshop layout and obstructions can affect range. One remote can operate multiple compatible switch units within range, so check which equipment will start together. It can also control compatible shop vacuums, power feeds and work lights within the stated voltage and load ratings.

Switch construction: UL-certified US standard 3-pin AC socket and 14AWG power cord, with a PA-765 flame-retardant shell.

Using the set: connect and operate the switch as shown in the setup diagram and included instructions. Use the remote to start and stop the connected equipment.

Soft start and delayed shutoff

• Press ON to start the connected dust collector. It reaches full speed approximately 3 seconds after startup.
• Press OFF when the work is complete. The dust collector continues running for 2–3 seconds before stopping.
• Soft-start operation limits the rate of voltage rise during startup. The brief run-on period lets the collector continue operating after your OFF command.

This set uses a gray-front-panel switch and a white-button remote. Use these visual details to identify the correct version.

Both PTA09 generations share the same model number. Match the switch and remote shown on this page before ordering. The two generations cannot control each other.

Before use

• Do not exceed 15 A total operating current across all appliances connected to the switch.
• One remote can control multiple compatible switches. If more than one is within range, confirm that you intend to turn them on together.
• Use the white-button remote supplied with this second-generation set. First-generation red-button remotes are not interchangeable.
